Percussion Camp is a rhythm-filled week for young musicians ready to explore the exciting world of beats and grooves! Campers will experiment with rhythm using a variety of percussion instruments and everyday “found” objects, learning how sound, timing, and teamwork come together to create powerful music. Each day includes hands-on rhythm workshops, creative jam sessions, and group activities that encourage musical expression and collaboration. The week wraps up with a dynamic showcase performance where campers share their original rhythmic creations!
WHAT IS FOUND SOUND?
Our Found Sound Percussion Camp explores rhythm in a whole new way! While campers will get hands-on experience with traditional drums like drum kits, bongos, and cajóns, they’ll also dive into the creative world of found sound: making music from everyday objects
From buckets and boxes to bottles and body percussion, campers learn how rhythm can be created anywhere. Using their imagination, they’ll build their own instruments and discover how to turn ordinary items into extraordinary music-making tools.
If you’ve ever seen groups like STOMP or Blue Man Group, you already know the magic of found sound. It’s energetic, inventive, and a ton of fun. This camp gives kids the chance to experience that same creativity while learning real percussion skills and working together to create unique group performances.

General FAQ'S
No experience is necessary! Our camp is open to beginners and young drummers who want to build their skills. Campers will learn rhythm fundamentals, explore different percussion instruments, and discover the excitement of playing together in a group.
Campers will spend the week learning about rhythm, drumming techniques, and ensemble playing. Mornings focus on rhythm games, creative percussion activities, and exploring instruments. In the afternoons, campers work together to create group pieces and prepare for a fun performance on Friday afternoon.
We maintain an 8:1 camper-to-instructor ratio in Percussion Summer Camp to ensure every kid receives personalized attention and guidance from our experienced instructors.
All Percussion Camp instructors are experienced percussionists and music educators who love working with kids. Every instructor has police clearance, and each camp has at least one instructor who is First Aid certified to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
No, we do not offer before or after camp care.
Yes! On the last day of camp, families are invited to a Friday afternoon performance where campers showcase their new skills and perform exciting group rhythm pieces together.
