About Andrew

Instructor Andrew

Andrew Rutherford

Guitar | Voice | Drums

Straight out of Quebec, Andrew is a multi-instrumentalist and versatile rock music instructor our Calgary students love learning from. He brings a rare mix of classroom teaching experience, live performance energy, and a passion for helping students explore their musical potential – one chord, one beat, or riff at a time.

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Pop and Jazz Music Studies from Bishop’s University, Andrew blends strong musical knowledge with proven teaching methods to create an exciting, hands-on learning experience for his students. Whether on guitar, bass, drums, mandolin, or vocals, his lessons strike the perfect chord between technique, creativity, and confidence-building.

Andrew is also a valued member of the band One to Walk, where his stage presence, musicality, and collaborative spirit truly shine. He brings this same energy to his role at Rock U Canada – especially within the Teen Spirit Program, helping young musicians level up and perform like the pros.
